The XVT models integrate USB video inputs and dynamic contrast ratios up to 2,000,000:1.
Two new 55-inch XVT models include the VF550XVT and VF551XVT, the former featuring 1080p resolution at 120Hz. The latter offers 1080p at 240Hz, along with VIZIO's Smart Dimming TruLED backlight.
Along with the high-end products, the company is also set to introduce a number of M-series models with 1080p resolution and dynamic contrast ratios up to 50,000:1. Basic configurations are available in sizes ranging from 22-inches to 55-inches. The VL models feature VIZIO's brushed JAVA color treatment on the housing, while the VT lineup resembles a wood picture frame. Several provide a USB multimedia feature that allows direct connection of a thumb drive or hard drive for MPEG-2, H.264 and WMV9 video playback.
The range of E-series sets has also been expanded, with a new 720p 20-inch model. The set offers SRS TruSurround HD and 20-percent lower power consumption than Energy Star 3.0 standards.
The SV320XVT and SV370XVT will ship in September for $750 and $850, respectively. The SV421XVT and SV471XVT are due in July, with respective prices of $1,200 and $1500. Most of the M-series models are expected to be released in June or July, with prices ranging from $350 to $1,800 depending on the display size. The VX200E is due in July for $300.
