IK ships StealthPedal

IK Multimedia has begun shipping its StealthPedal device that combines a MIDI controller with a USB interface. The wah-style pedal is designed for guitarists and bassists, either for live performances or studio recording. Users connect their instrument to the device, which then provides control over software parameters. Both balanced and unbalanced audio inputs are available, along with a low-noise input stage and 24-bit A/D or D/A conversion.

The pedal can be used with any MIDI-controllable software, plug-in or DAW, including the full range of IK's AmpliTube products. Musicians can also expand the capabilities with an external compression pedal or double stomp switch.

AmpliTube 2 Live, Ampeg SVX Uno, AmpliTube X-Gear, RiffWorks T4 and Sonic Reality AmpliGrooves are all included with the standard StealthPedal package, which carries a price of $200 when using the coupon code "STEALTH." Customers can also purchase the Deluxe package that includes AmpliTube 2 full, Ampeg SVX full, AmpliTube X-GEAR, RiffWorks T4 and Sonic Reality AmpliGrooves. Using the coupon code "STEALTHDLX," the Deluxe edition can be purchased for $400.
