LTB Light 8.0 released

LTB Soft has released v8.0 of LTB Light. The program is used to calculate and generate natural and artificial lighting, implementing OpenGL software. It also utilizes a color radiosity method that is applied to a finite element plan. Using its CAD system for data management, the software can flatten surfaces with colored glazing, furniture, curves surfaces, and more complex objects such as cross vaults. The application can also share information with other CAD, exporting DXF and PICT files.

The light sources generated are managed from within the program, but it can import IESNA LM-63, EULUMDAT, PICT, and DXF files. A light's illumination, energy amounts, positioning, and reflected colors can be controlled with the application using a variety of tools. The program also allows object's mapping overlapped in the finite plan.

LTB Light is available through the Kagi online store and costs $300.
