Comcast to cut 50Mbps price to $100?

updated 03:35 pm EDT, Tue June 2, 2009

Comcast 50Mbps Cut Soon

Comcast is about to launch a major price cut on its fastest Internet access, a leak indicated on Tuesday. Normally $140 per month, it's reported by a source for BBR to be dropping to $100 and will likely do so sometime after June 20th. The cost would apply to those who already have at least one other Comcast service, though Internet-only service would still drop to $116 per month at the same time.

The claim comes just as Comcast is believed to be upgrading to 100Mbps and would likely let the cable provider put the twice-as-fast service at the existing price point. It's not evident that the company will alter its 250GB fixed bandwidth cap despite the increased speeds.

    Why? Because Optonline...

    101 x 15 for $100/month...no bandwidth limit.
