iPhone apps: iDonutConnect, Separate Checks, Decibel

  • iDonutConnect 1.1 ($1) is a puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod touch where the players goal is to create groups of donuts. Depending on the level players will have to get donuts into groups of two or three using horizontal and vertical lines. When the groups are made the donuts disappear and the only way to complete each level is to eliminate all of the donuts. The game includes 460 levels that have been broken down into 4 different level packs of increasing difficulty.

  • Separate Checks ($1) is a tool for fairly breaking up a receipt among a group of people. Instead of breaking up the receipt evenly among each customer Separate Checks allows users to enter the costs of the items and define who the items went to. After entering each item users can see how much everyone owes based on what they purchased. The application allows includes a tip calculator function that allows each customer to see how much their tip should be based on a defined percentage.

  • Decibel ($1) is a tool that can measure the decibel level of a sound using the iPhone's built in microphone or an external microphone. The main display includes both an analog decibel meter and a digital meter that displays the average, peak, and max decibel levels. The application also includes several calibration options and the ability to disable sleep mode.

  • Flash Q/Ard! ($3) allows users to study different sets of flash cards on their iPhone or iPod touch. Flash cards can be created in any basic text editor and then uploaded to a server and downloaded into the application. Created sets can be made private or public meaning users can access not only their own car sets but those made my other users as well.

  • Emergency Information ($1) allows users to make important emergency health and contact information available on their phone. This way if a situation arises where someone needs to access that information it is readily available. The application includes fields for the users basic information, emergency contact numbers, allergies, and medications. Any stored contact numbers can be called directly from within the application.
