  • iPhoto2Gmail 1.1 (free) is a plug-in for iPhoto which allows users to send images through a Gmail account. Users can select which pictures they would like to send and then add contacts, a subject, and a message to the email. The plug-in also allows users to define how large they want the sent image files too be. The new release is now able to preserve EXIF and ColorSync data when it resizes images and can remember the last used resizing and sending options. [Download - 0.7MB]

  • Calico 1.5 ($39) is an image stitching application for creating panoramic pictures. The software is able to bring together a single row of images or multiple rows. Calico also includes an exposure correction option and transfers the color profile and camera information from the first image to the stitched panorama. Version 1.5 has improved blending and now leaves fewer ghosts where images overlap and has added iPhoto integration. An automatic update option has also been implemented and the menus have been cleaned up to be less confusing. [Download - 4.1MB]

  • Searchlight 2.3 ($39) allows users to search their Apple computer from all machines at their office or home, and even from iPhones. Searchlight brings the power of Spotlight to an entire network, including Windows and Linux users, through a simple web interface. Searchlight also integrates Quicklook and allows users to preview and file in the browser. The 2.3 update is strictly a maintenance update and fixes several bugs and improves overall stability.   • Bean 2.3 (free) is a basic word processor that offers more simplicity that larger programs but more features than basic text editors. The software includes a live word count an an Inspector panel with various formatting options. Bean also features auto-saving, a page layout mode, a gloating windows option, and an option for showing invisible characters. A new Date/Time toolbar icon has been added which allows users to quickly add the date and time to their document in a selected format. The update also includes two new keyboard shortcuts: holding the option key while using the view scale slider allows users to make adjustments in increments of 25 percent, and Shift+Enter acts as a soft return, adding a new line of text without creating a new paragraph.   • myNotes 1.5 ($35) is a tool for creating and organizing notes. The software includes features for printing notes with customizable themes, auto-naming notes, iPod syncing, emailing notes, exporting to rich text files, and more. The new version now allows users to set the background color and font size of Notes and Groups columns. Version 1.5 also includes an updated interface along with several performance improvements and bug fixes. [Download - 6.4MB]
