Vemedio releases Snowtape
Vemedio has released the full version of Snowtape, an application for playing and recording live radio. Snowtape provides a database capable of storing thousands of radio stations, along with search capabilities and a built-in track editor for removing interfering audio. Stations listed in the search results can be added to a list and sorted by genre or bandwidth, or can be added to the favorites section for simpler access. Users can also export tracks to iTunes for encoding to AAC audio, with support for album artwork and track titles as iTunes audio tags.
The application also features an integrated "get album artwork" button that searches the Internet for available album artwork, along with support for RadioURL.com and and English, German, Japanese, French and Italian localizations. Users can also import .PLS and .M3U playlist files and .Webloc URL files, simply by dragging and dropping them into the radio list. RadioURL.com allows users to shorten long radio streams and send them via e-mail, or post them on blogs and Twitter.
Snowtape is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5.2 or later and priced at $30. A demo version is also available, but restricts recording to 60-minutes total.

Nice app...
I used to think Audion 3.0 was really a great product for being able to record radio audio streams, but that was nothing compared to this level of sophistication.
I'm definitely going to test this product.
