iPhone 3.0 images leaked?
Chinese blog UMPCFever has posted what appear to be photographs of the new iPhone interface with features such as camera auto-focus, a magnetometer and voice recording. The blogger responsible for the shots says he was given the iPhone prototype from his American friend, who supposedly asked the blogger to only "take fuzzy snapshots" because it is not yet official. The blogger did not take photographs of the iPhone's physical design, believing that it would be unlikely the final product would look the same.
The photographs detail how the camera auto-focusing feature may work, indicating the user would frame the desired image in the viewfinder on the screen and select an object to focus on. The Hong Kong-based leak also posted photographs to compare the image quality of the old iPhone to the upcoming device.
The new firmware showcased includes the frequently rumored magnetometer, with the blogger saying users only press a button to display the direction the phone is pointing. The other features photographed, such as MMS, an improved stock tracker, and voice recording, were already known to exist in the firmware. The photographed CPU Activity app was likely designed for engineers to test and analyze the new phone's performance.
Rumors of these firmware apps have been occurring steady in recent months, but the photographs add more depth into the functionality of each feature. [via AppleInsider]

Battery charge percent?
It looks like there is a percentage number showing how much battery charge is left. It is to the left of the battery icon in the compass photo. I think it says 24% which is inline with the battery icon's charge level.
