Two Excel Software updates

Excel software has announced a June 1st release date for two software updates, QuickLicense 4 and Safe Activation Service 2. QuickLicense is used to protect applications, written in any programming language, from unauthorized software use. Safe Activation works in unison with QuickLicence, acting as a server for product vendors to securely enter license information.

The applications help users to simplify moving a protected software license from one computer to another, using an automated release and restore process. It gives vendors the ability to securely block licenses, present notifications to users, or manage software subscriptions. The Safe Activation server can be linked to online stores, securely distributing serial numbers to customers once a product is purchased.

QuickLicense manages customer information collected during the activation process, and can be exported into a spreadsheet or database. The program also includes a batch e-mail capability to communicate with product consumers.

QuickLicense will be available for $1000 and requires Mac OS X 10.1. The Safe Activation service is available for $40 per month.
