MacUpdate spring promo

MacUpdate has begun offering its Spring 2009 software bundle, featuring 11 software titles for $50. Programs include TechTool Pro 5, Parallels 4, Circus Ponies Notebook 3, Intego NetBarrier X5, DVDRemaster Pro 5, Multiplex, RipIt, MoneyWell, Paperless, Posterino and BetterZip. The bundle is said to be worth over $500 if purchased separately at typical retail prices.

TechTool Pro 5 offers a variety of utilities for checking RAM or hard drives, optimizing system performance, or restoring computers after failure. Parallels 4 allows users to run Windows and Linux virtual machines, with support for up to 8 cores, 8GB of RAM and 3D acceleration.

NetBarrier enables firewall configuration and intrusion detection for protection against security threats. BetterZip is a .zip compression tool that allows users to selectively extract files, create encrypted archives or split large files.

Notebook 3 can be used to take notes with audio annotations, track tasks, or collate ideas, clippings, photos, and more. Posterino allows users to create posters, postcards, photo frames and greeting cards.

MoneyWell is a utility for managing personal finances, such as banking, envelope budgeting, transaction management, cash flow monitoring, and more. Paperless can be used to manage receipts and document collections, with a focus on items such as expense reports and taxes.

DVDRemaster Pro 5 provides tools for copying or backing up DVDs, while users can also convert movies to formats suitable for the iPhone, iPods and AppleTV. Multiplex works as a DVD player that can be used to browse and watch content from a Mac. RipIt allows users to copy DVDs to their hard drive, without region restrictions or encryption protection.

The MacUpdate Spring 2009 bundle is available for $50 until June 12th.
