LG Opera TV and HQ handsets coming to AT&T

updated 04:50 pm EDT, Tue May 26, 2009

AT&T to get LG Opera, HQ

AT&T will soon add two new high-end LG handsets to its lineup if these leaked images from the wireless provider prove to be real. The first, tentatively scheduled for a release late in August, is the Opera TV, though the placeholder image is believed to be that of the current Arena. Specs on the Opera include a 3-inch display with 480x800 resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, and 7.2Mbps HSDPA data network access. As the name suggests, FLO TV support allows users to watch mobile TV programs.

The other new LG handset, expected to appear at AT&T on July 6th, is the GW600 HQ. The sliderphone features a 2.4-inch, 320x240 resolution display, 20 keys for data input, and tri-band 3G support. Photos and videos taken from its 2-megapixel camera can be stored on a microSD memory card up to 16GB in size. The preloaded operating system is Windows Mobile 6.1.

No pricing information for either handset is yet known. [via Engadget]
