Toon Boom Animation has announced its latest high-performance animation tool, Toon Boom Animate Pro. The program offers a variety of animation, lip-sync and cell-swapping tools for creating tradigital and bitmap animation. The software includes a graph editor and over 50 effects that range from blurs to color correction, deformation and keyframing. A morphing tool enables users to automatically create in-betweens.
The software also features a multi-pane camera function that can be used to move, scale and rotate any of the elements when creating 3D scenery. The graph editor provides tools for applying acceleration to scenery, with ease-motion control. Full-scripting capabilities and command line tools are supported, along with import of MOV, SWF, PSD, AI and PDF file formats, or export of MOV and FLV videos.
To help users get started, the company offers over four hours of video training and ready-to-use templates, along with a user forum and dedicated support programs. Toon Boom Animation Pro is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 or later and can be purchased for $2000.
