TidBITS Publishing has released a pair of new e-books, Take Control of Maintaining Your Mac, Second Edition and Take Control of Troubleshooting Your Mac. The guides are designed to help users improve the performance of their systems or solve problems. Both titles are available for $10 individually, or as a bundle for $16.

MacScripter has announced an update to MacDeveloper, its networking and beta-testing resource for companies or individual developers. The developers are connected with testers that can choose the software categories that interest them. Testers can register and test software for free, with points earned for completing trials. Alerts are now collapsed by default, while developers can change status tickets inside closed PCs. A number of new search features and counter options are also available. Developers can create project channels for $20, with renewals priced at $14.

RadTech is currently offering 25-percent off the entire line of Optex products. Items include ScreenSavrz screen protectors and display covers, the LenSavrz cleaning cloth, and Sleevz notebook and iPod sleeves. The company also offers OmniCleanz multi-use cleaner, Ice Creme acrylic scratch remover and the Bezel Blaster restoration and polishing kit for the iPhone.

Medstrat has announced a strategic alliance with MacPractice, with both companies working together to offer a product that integrates picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) with electronic medical records (EMR). Medstrat has developed echoes, a tool that enables access to patient images from a variety of locations such as operating rooms, satellite offices, home or mobile devices. MacPractice offers practice management software for physicians, dentists, chiropractors and optometrists.

Class on Demand has announced its upcoming Adobe training title, "Fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop Elements 7." The training is lead by Sue Jenkins, a designer and author who specializes in Adobe tools for print and web publishing. The self-paced instruction, soon to be available on DVD, can be pre-ordered for $40.
