Arten Science has launched new surveillance software, MonitorMyMac. The program captures screenshots and webcam stills, and can store files locally or remotely, uploading images via FTP for offsite monitoring. A stealth mode allows spying on children or workers without revealing the app's presence; webcams allow the confirmation of a user's identity during screen captures, as well as room/area monitoring.
Desktop tracking allows for custom sizing, and the recording of multiple monitors, all Spaces and the Dashboard. The webcam option offers three size choices. Captures can be set for any number of preset intervals, and loaded into a QuickTime movie for easy playback.
MonitorMyMac requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later, and a 1GHz processor. It costs $40 in a single-user license and $100 in a family pack. A site license is available for $315.
