Camera Raw 5.4 RC

Adobe has posted an early release candidate for the next Camera Raw update, designed to expand support of RAW formats within Photoshop CS4. The v5.4 patch is said to substantially increase the number of compatible cameras, which include recent prominent releases like the Canon Rebel T1i, Nikon D5000 and Panasonic GH1. Some other models now supported are the Olympus E-450 and E-620, the Sigma DP2, the Epson R-D1x and the Kodak EasyShare Z980.

Professional photographers will find that the update adds a host of Hasselblad cameras; a list includes the H2D-22, H2D-39, H3D-22, H3D-31, H3D-39, H3DII-22, H3DII-31, H3DII-39, H3DII-39MS and H3DII-50. Newly-supported back systems cited are the CF-22, CF-22MS, CF-39, CF-39MS, CFH-22, CFH-39, CFV and 503CWD. The release candidate is a free download, and should also expand DNG Compatibility conversion options.
