  • AudioLobe 3.9 ($20) allows users to alter the playback speed and pitch rate of audio files, which can be helpful when attempting to learn a difficult section of a song. AudioLobe allows users to save the altered files meaning users can keep copies of tracks for practicing along with. Version 3.9 has added the ability to work with MPEG1-Muxed files.   • Rulers 2.7 ($19) can place rulers and guide lines across a display, similar to the way common graphic editors can place rulers on working areas. Rulers can be used to measure and position objects or to select a screen area to take a screenshot of. The software includes support for multiple units of measurement and can perform automatic measurements. The software now features support for an increased number of ruler lines, a Russian localization, and other small bug fixes and performance improvements. [Download - 8.2MB]

  • TuneUp 1.5 ($30) is a tool that is capable of cleaning up and organizing a user's music library. The software performs tasks such as finding missing album art, correcting mislabeled tracks and cleaning inconsistent metadata. TuneUp can also search the Internet for music videos, recommendations and concert information based on the user's library. The user interface has been updated in the new release and a new field-specific cleaning option has been added which allows users to set which metadata is saved by default.   • eBaytoiCal 4.3 (free) is an AppleScript that reads through an opened eBay auction page an adds the date an auction ends to iCal. The script can also set a reminder at a user definable time before the end of the auction. The event in iCal is named after the product being sold an a URL to the auction page is included with the event. This new release addresses a small bug related to item number parsing.   • CheckUp 2.2 ($25) is a tool designed to check and monitor the behavior of a Mac system, either locally or remotely. The software scans a computer and provides information on the systems functionality and overall performance and can also allow any unused applications to be removed. The new release now displays Firewire, USB, Ethernet, and Bluetooth information and includes a new oscilloscope graph for network and processors. The software has also been optimized for the most recent Mac hardware and includes a bug fix to improve 10.5.7 compatibility. [Download - 17.8MB]
