CheckUp 2.2 adds connection types, support tests

CheckUp 2.2 ships

app4mac has produced an update to its Mac monitoring software, CheckUp 2.2. The new version gains compatibility with FireWire, USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections. Likewise new are compatibility tests for Snow Leopard and Windows 7, as well as bugfixes for last week's Mac OS X 10.5.7 update.

The software has also been updated and optimized for the most recent Mac hardware, and given a new oscilloscope graph for tracking networks and processors.

CheckUp monitors disk, CPU and memory usage, triggering user-determined alerts for when certain conditions are met. In tracking processor activity, users are supplied with percentage readouts along with the total number of running processes and threads. The software further detects bad memory and scrutinizes network utilization.

CheckUp 2.2 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher, and costs €19 (roughly $26) with guaranteed free updates.
