Twin 1.0 released
app4mac has released the final version of Twin 1.0, its data backup application. The software enables file transfers between online data servers, such as MobileMe and Amazon S3, while users can also back up information to an external drive when the computer is offline. To protect sensitive data, AES-256 encryption helps ensure secure file transfers.
The program records each file transfer, generating detailed reports to help easily locate misplaced content. Files are either split or grouped into 25MB segments before being uploaded, a process which leads to a speed advantage, according to app4mac.
Persistence, Twin 1.0's predecessor, was recently purchased by app4mac. All Persistence owners can upgrade to Twin for free. Twin 1.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5 and can be purchased for $40 in both French and English localizations.

really? I've been using it, and it's the best software I've used for non-bootable backing up! I was using many other things before, but this one is best! [replacing SmartBackup for me]

I am glad there are more simple backup clients for Amazon S3 out there.
