Mariner Paperless app
Mariner Software has released a document management application for the Mac, Mariner Paperless. Following an earlier announcement, Mariner has rebranded the previous ReceiptWallet software as Paperless. Users can scan or import receipts, documents, and other forms of paperwork, while optical character recognition (OCR) helps organize the content as PDFs. Users can also print and e-mail any files or documents from the software interface.
Zll receipts and documents can be organized into basic collections, or user-created smart collections. Each collection can contain any manually-entered information, while the smart option creates normal collections based on the criteria specified by the user.
Paperless requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher, while the company recommends Mac OS X 10.5.4 to ensure full functionality. Current ReceiptWallet users will receive a free upgrade to the new version which offers only minor aesthetic and branding changes. New customers can purchase the application online for $45.
