iDive 1.9 released

Aquafadas has released v1.9 of its video cataloging application, iDive. The program is designed to organize videos through tagging aspects of them; clips can subsequently be found using the People Places Events palette. Version 1.9 incorporates the ability to drop frames between clips, as well as specify what camcorders should do after recording. Turbo.264 hardware acceleration is new as well.

The Capture Module has been completely rewritten, in order to be fully compatible with modern QuickTime functions. The update also includes improved end-of-tape detection when pulling videos from a camcorder, better frame naming during bulk export, and support for instantaneous compression. Bugs such as aspect ratio inconsistencies and problems with the Sources list have also been resolved.

The software can export videos to any QuickTime format, as well as in the form of an iMovie event. iMovie events can be accessed without exiting. iDive 1.9 requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 and QuickTime 7.5.5, and can be bought from the Aquafadas online store for $80.
