FotoMagico 3 update
Boinx Software has released FotoMagico 3, an update to its storytelling software. The company has added an instant slideshow assistant that is designed to quickly build presentations, while a new audio recorder allows users to add narrations. The Pro edition offers three dynamic audio tracks for music, sound effects and narration. Each track can be configured with a variety of settings, including locked timing and ducking to lower the background volume while the narrator is speaking.
The Pro variant can also be used to access libraries of iPhoto, Aperture and Lightroom. Users can mix video from a number of cameras including the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EOS 500D, Nikon D90 or the D5000. The video content can be animated like images on each slide, without the need to re-encode, while the visible area of clips can be defined with in and out points.
Users can now remotely control fullscreen presentations using FotoMagico Remote for the iPhone and iPod touch. The app also provides a teleprompter for speaking notes and a visual representation of the slide duration.
FotoMagico 3 Home is available for $30, while the Pro edition can be purchased for $150. Current owners can upgrade from FotoMagico 2 for $90. The iPhone app will be available soon for $20.
