  • Find Any File 1.2 (free) can search for files on a Macs hard drive by name, creation or modification date, size or type and creator code. The application can run as the root users allowing it to find files that can be missed by Spotlight and also features a hierarchical view of all found items for fast sorting. Version 1.2 has added options to only search remote volumes, removing the hovering tooltips, and increasing text size. The update has also addressed several small bugs and should be less prone to crashing now. [Download - 3.9MB]

  • Little Snitch 2.1 ($30) is an internet traffic monitoring and management utility. The software informs a user when a program attempts to establish an outgoing internet connection and provides options for allowing or denying the connection. Users can set up specific permissions for each application on their Mac and use the Network Monitor to see information on incoming and outgoing network traffic. The new release has added support for guest accounts and improved support for fast user switching. The update has also fixed several bugs and improved the uninstall procedure which is accessible through the Little Snitch installer. [Download - 2.3MB]

  • Syncopation 2.2 ($25) is a tool for synchronizing an iTunes library across multiple computers. The software compares iTunes libraries on different computers and transfers files that are not common between them. Syncopation can be left running in the background and will constantly check for any changes made to the local library and will automatically make the same changes to the remote one. Version 2.2 has improved compatibility with iTunes Plus and will now synchronize changes to a files encoding bit-rate. The update also includes new library inspector panels which display more information about the synchronization status then previous versions. [Download - 2.2MB]

  • ScreenEdit 1.0 (free) can be used to compress, edit, split and save Quicktime movies. Users can edit movies by copying, cutting, pasting and trimmings frames and then can re-compress the movies using compressors such as Animation, DV, H.264, and MPEG-4. The split feature allows a user to segment a video into up to 19 different parts of a definable length and any remaining video will be put into its own separate segment. [Download - 3.6MB]

  • Kaohi 1.0 ($20) allows users to add parental controls to MSN messenger. Parents get set up a weekly allowance of time that everyone can spend on MSN and then application will track how long a user spends logged in. The user can view a simple timer that shows how much time they have left and how much they used. When the time limit has been reached the software will begin to block MSN from connecting until more time is added to the account. [Download - 1.7MB]
