HyperMac Car Charger aims to reduce fuel consumption

updated 04:35 pm EDT, Mon May 11, 2009

HyperMac DC Car Charger

Sanho has announced another addition to the HyperMac line, the DC Car Charger for all MacBook models. The company claims the charger as better than Apple's, citing an undistorted power signal. The signal is produced by negating the standard DC-AC-DC voltage adjusting process, and instead opting for a DC-DC method that Sanho believes can reduce fuel consumption and strain on a car's battery. The company also argues that its method is safer, on the basis that other power converters could be lethal should there be a short circuit or malfunction.

The HyperMac charger is allegedly the smallest and lightest of its type. The item can be pre-ordered now, and should be released later this month. It costs $150 separately, but is being included for free with the purchase of select HyperMac external battery models.

I'll leave it at this - Spend a $100.00 to save 3 dollars over a years time. Yep, that's savings all right!
