FreshBooks adds networking

FreshBooks says it is expanding its online invoicing service, adding a networking feature that lets freelancers and small businesses work directly with suppliers and collaborators, so long as they are also FreshBooks customers. The Canadian-based company runs a pay-as-you go invoicing service with free accounts for basic users, and tiered monthly plans based on demand.

Also new is a Contractor feature, which allows users to share projects across different FreshBooks accounts for the sake of monitoring billable hours, material costs and overall progress. Users can choose which information is shared with contractors, limiting access to confidential data.
