The Path reaches Macs
TransGaming and Tale of Tales have released a Mac version of the horror game The Path. The title is inspired by the fable of Little Red Riding Hood, but is set in the present day. Players assume third-person control of one of six sisters, who are sent by their mother to visit their bedridden grandmother.
The game has no monsters, time limits or conventional puzzles, and instead encourages players to choose their own fate, deciding where to go and what to do along the path to grandmother's house. Each play session is said to be different, as every choice influences the narrative of the story. A minimal amount of sound effects are used in favor of atmospheric music.
The Path requires Mac OS X 10.5.6, and costs $10.
