Syrinx 2.0 released
MRR Software has released v2.0 of its Twitter client application, Syrinx. The title is meant to simplify Twitter use by enabling users to search the site, view complete conversations, and browse previously-viewed items. Syrinx 2.0 expands the timeline feature to the Friends list, allowing people to locate and manage contacts faster. The app also includes better search features, enabling both multiple search windows and personal history searches.
Also incorporated is a new bookmarking feature, which saves the position of where a user was last reading for later resumption. Tweets following the marker are shown in a customizable background color, in order to make new ones more recognizable. Syrinx 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5 and a Twitter account, and can be downloaded for free from the MRR website.
