SimpleMovieX 3.9 update
Aero Quartet has released the latest version of its video editing and repair application, SimpleMovieX 3.9. The update offers a built-in metadata editor to help users enter tags and movie information directly inside the program, and to add both artwork and covers that can be downloaded from the Amazon database. Additional changes make chapter markers at the beginning of MP4 and MOV movies now optional, provide a delete function to whole chapters, and enables users to specify the chapter name and preferences. Performance fixes have also been made.
SimpleMovieX works as a batch converter to enable the transfer of movies from different file formats onto the editor, and supports AVI, MPRG-1, MPEF2, and MPEG-4 formats. The software comes with a search pane that analyzes the story of a clip, divides it into 16 or 64 frames and creates an overview.
Current SimpleMovieX users can receive the upgrade for free, while new users will have to pay $35. The program is compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
