Flux 2 beta in the wild
The Escapers has released a public beta of Flux 2, an upcoming CSS-based web design tool. The upgrade boasts faster and more accurate rendering, and improved import of existing sites. It also offers more advanced CSS and XHTML features within its interface, and third-party plug-in support. A rewritten codebase should allow for easier and more frequent upgrades.
Flux 2 includes a built-in code editor as well as a WYSIWYG page editor. Core Animation is said to provide a faster interface, while QuickLook can be used to preview pages. A media browser integrates with iPhoto and Aperture. The software requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher, and costs approximately $61. No timeframe has been announced regarding a final release of v2.
