Tweetie 1.1.1 adds Growl, Snow Leopard support

updated 04:50 pm EDT, Tue May 5, 2009

Tweetie 1.1.1 released

atebits has updated the Mac version of Tweetie, its Twitter client. The app allows users to post tweets, organize conversations, and search for popular topics. Amongst many small improvements, Tweetie 1.1.1 includes new features such as Growl support, which alerts users to updates from particular topics, people and conversations.

The new version also fixes bugs from the previous release, including ones associated with search memory and incorrect dock badging. The program has additionally been given 64-bit support, which should allow Tweetie to work well with Snow Leopard when the OS ships later this year.

Tweetie is typically priced at $15, though a version burdened with ads can be downloaded for free.
