Voila 2 adds new organizer
Global Delight has released Voila 2.0, an update to its application for capturing and sharing screenshots. The software offers a revamped user interface, with options to toggle a lock on annotations, zoom the image view on the canvas or move layers. A new image organizer contains all of the snapped images in a central library. The images can also be configured as customized or rule-based collections, with the ability to add tags and comments to each file for quicker searches.
The software offers expanded capturing options, including advanced captures with a variety of shapes, objects, menus, scrolling pages, freehand content and webcam images. Users can snap an entire webpage by importing the URL or typing it within the integrated browser, while multiple regions or DOM elements from each page can also be captured.
To hide sensitive information, blur annotation can be applied to portions of the image. Four different types of blur are available, with adjustable properties for each style. Annotations can now be flipped horizontally or vertically, or spray and stamp tools provide additional customization options.
Voila 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5.2 or higher and can be purchased with a single-user license for $40. Educational copies are available for 25-percent below the retail price.
