Matte screen for 13in MB
TechRestore has announced a new upgrade service that replaces the display on white and black 13-inch MacBooks with a matte-finish screen. Instead of applying an anti-glare cover, the service completely replaces the gloss-finish screen with a matte variant. All specifications are claimed to match the original, including color depth, resolution and viewing angle. The original plastic case and front bezel are reused.
The matte-finish screen replacement carries a price of $170 that includes installation, components, free return shipping and a one-year warranty on parts and labor. The company promises a 24-hour turnaround time.

re: $170
This is $170 that no one should have to spend. This was something that Apple was offering, and they should still offer.
I realize they never offered it for MacBooks, but now, you don't even get it for MacBookPros. You pay upwards of $2,000, and they don't even give you a matte screen option.
I'm really starting to hate this pigeon-holing that Apple has been doing of late. First it was the MacBookPro displays, then the Cinema Displays, then FireWire, and so on ...
