Rue Halévy store progress
Active construction has begun at the site of the Rue Halévy Apple Store in Paris, a MacNN source informs. The location is across from the Garnier operahouse, and may be strategically situated in the middle of high tourist traffic with the added benefit of wealthy locals. Like many buildings in the neighborhood, the one containing the Apple Store has historical value.
In contrast to the sibling Louvre Apple Store, the Halévy outlet appears to be undergoing the beginnings of serious work, with floors being cleared for new tiling, and holes being dug for new installations. Reports have suggested that Louvre progress is being slowed by the need for special preservation efforts; when completed, nevertheless, the Halévy store should benefit from the presence of vintage windows and skylights, as well as stylish columns and railings. No opening date has been confirmed.

Cool.
I went to the Garnier Opera the last time I was in Paris. (Salvatore Sciarrino's: Da gelo a gelo. INTENSE!)
I even use a photo of the top of the façade as a desktop picture.

Apple had no problem dealing with the current architecture here, but couldn't figure out how to do the same in Georgetown?
