HTC Rhodium for T Mobile
The FCC has passed a variant of the HTC Touch Pro2, also known as the Rhodium, for T-Mobile. The approval confirms earlier reports that spotted the carrier name in the handset's ROM. FCC documents (PDF) indicate the device will support T-Mobile's 1700MHz 3G band, along with EDGE and GSM. HTC claimed the handset would be "broadly available" in most areas, with the first launches beginning later this spring.
The Rhodium features a revamped design, with a tilting keyboard and a larger 3.6-inch screen with 480x800 resolution. Windows Mobile 6.1 provides the operating system, along with the company's TouchFLO interface. The device also offers GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 3.2-megapixel camera.
Pricing information and a specific launch date remain unknown.
