Graphisoft EcoDesign
Graphisoft has introduced EcoDesign, an energy evaluation utility that works in conjunction with the company's ArchiCAD 12 modeling tools. The software enables users to optimize the energy consumption of their building designs. Rather than analyzing the buildings when the project is in its advanced stages, architects can assess a variety of factors in the beginning steps.
“At later design phases, engineers can only make adjustments by applying special building materials and mechanical systems," said Miklos Szovenyi-Lux, Vice President of Product Management. "Graphisoft EcoDesigner provides architects with a unique easy-to-use tool in their native design environment to make energy-conscious decisions even during the early phase of the design.”
The company will release more information at the American Institute of Architects Convention (Both #1551) that runs until and May 2nd.
