LG intros CDMA Cookie

LG will soon release a CDMA version of its popular Cookie touchscreen cellphone, and call it the LG KX500, an online listing indicates. Apart from supporting CDMA2000 1x access, the KX500 shares the same features of the KP500, including its 240x400 touchscreen display, an integrated accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 3-megapixel camera.

Otherwise, there is 46MB of built-in memory expandable via a microSD card slot, a built-in FM radio tuner and Bluetooth A2DP support. A mini USB port handles file transfers and charging.

The LG Cookie KX500 is due to launch in Asia-Pacific markets at the start of May, priced at the equivalent of $276. Theoretically, the KX500 would be compatible with Sprint an Verizon networks stateside, though no plans to bring the phone here have been announced. [via UnwiredView]
