JUNO-G 2.0 update
Roland has announced JUNO-G 2.0, a software upgrade that adds new features and functions to the company’s JUNO-G Workstation Keyboard. With the new version users can now sample audio from external sources, import audio phrases from the removable flash memory, and assign samples that can be triggered from the JUNO-G function buttons or keyboard. Changes to the front panel control knobs have been made that enable users to adjust start, end and loop points.
Sample-editing functions in JUNO-G 2.0 include options such as Truncate, Normalize, Emphases, Sample Chop and Combine. The software can also match samples to BPM in real-time, reflecting changes made to the tempo of a song. The update is free for all current JUNO-G users, but requires Stuff Expander to download the new version if users are not running Mac OS X 10.3 or later.
