Firefox 3.0.9 update
Mozilla has posted the v3.0.9 update to Firefox, its multi-platform web browser. The patch is mainly said to address "several" security and stability problems. Also fixed though is a recurring problem with database corruption, which would previously prevent Firefox from accessing stored cookies.
Other issues solved include one with large forms taking too long to submit, and a bug introduced in v3.0.7, which stopped inline image attachments from appearing at webmail sites like AOL. When generating a new window, finally, the browser should be given due focus. The v3.0.9 update is a free download from the Mozilla website, or else Firefox's built-in updater.
