ViaCAD V6 update
Punch! Software has released ViaCAD 2D V6, an update to its 2D drafting application for general-purpose design. The latest version adds new architectural features that can be used to create or modify intelligent self-healing walls, doors and windows. Users can now specify custom materials for each region of the wall with different styles.
A new drawing wizard assists with setting up architectural or mechanical drawings. The update also supports 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator, single click fill and hatch, and slot creation around rounded rectangles.
ViaCAD carries a suggested price of $50 and ships on a hybrid DVD that includes both PC and Mac installers. The software supports AutoCAD DWG and Adobe Illustrator files.
