Indigo 4 home automation

Perceptive Automation has announced an update to its home-automation application, Indigo 4.0, along with a complementary app, Indigo Touch, for the iPhone and iPod touch. Indigo allows users to control lights, appliances, thermostats, lawn sprinklers and a variety of other devices. The Lite version is geared for basic configurations, while a Pro variant offers the same interface and adds support for high-end devices and custom scripting.

Indigo Touch allows users to control the automation system from anywhere using a Wi-Fi, 3G or EDGE connection. The app is optimized for mobile use, with single-touch access to lighting, appliances, sprinklers and thermostats. Both Bonjour and GoPrism.com subscriptions are supported.

Indigo is compatible with INSTEON-enabled PowerLinc V2 (2412U) CM-11, LynX-PLC, MR26 and W800RF32 components. Indigo Pro carries a price of $180, while the Lite version costs $90. Indigo Touch is available to download from the App Store for free. Users can connect to the company's demo server for free, although the app requires Indigo Pro or Lite for actual home control.
