iPhone apps: Minute Tracker, TapTapCards, Drync Wine

  • Cell Minute Tracker ($1) helps AT&T customers keep track of their cell phone usage compared to what their plan allows. The application allows users to view the current minute balance, rollover minutes, data plan, SMS use, billing cycle and previous payments. It can also provide users with alerts when they reach 90% of their limit or a bill is due and can breakdown the information by family member.

  • TapTapCards (free) allows users to design and send personal postcards from their iPhone or iPod touch. A picture can be selected from the photo library and then a caption and message can be added. Then after entering an address users can submit the postcard which will be printed and mailed at a cost of $2.

  • Drync Wine Pro ($5) is a tool that is meant to simplify the way people research, remember, share, and purchase wine using their mobile device. The application includes a database of over 800,000 different wines from around the world and more that 250,000 reviews and winemaker's notes from expert wine connoisseurs. Users can also add all of their favorite wines to a virtual cellar, get recommendations from other users and buy wines directly from the application.

  • Currencee ($1) is a currency conversion application. Users select the currency they want to convert from, and the one they want to convert to at the bottom the application, and then type in the amount. The application retrieves exchange rates every time the application is launched ensuring that users are also converting with the most relevant rates.

  • Black ($2) turns the touch screen of an iPhone or iPod touch into a music instrument. Users hold the device sideways and can alter pitch by moving their finger left and right, while vertical motions change volume. The application also includes multiple sounds which can be switched between by gently shaking the device.
