AccelaStudy update
Renkara Media Group has announced AccelaStudy 1.4, an update do its language study apps for the iPhone and iPod touch. The release adds spaced repetition which allows users to focus on new or unfamiliar words, while spending less time on familiar content. Students can create custom study sets of particular vocabulary words, or take audio quizzes that match spoken words with written translations.
The interface has been completely redesigned, with options to search through the vocabulary and quickly review the audio pronunciation for each match. As the student learns, new words are automatically introduced. Available languages include Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Ukranian.
All AccelaStudy paid versions are available from iTunes, with prices ranging between $10 and $15, and provide over 2,100 words organized into 65 subject areas. The company also offers free versions, AccelaStudy Essentials, with fewer words.
