ATM Hunter, Ping Pong

  • Ried Minion ($3) is a document and book reading application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It includes options that allow the user to set the font and contrast and also features two different assisted-reading modes for low-vision readers and speed readers. Through Ried Minion users can access a database of free ebooks and log into their Google Documents account to access any files stored there.

  • wikiHow (free) gives iPhone and iPod touch users access to all of the how-to articles posted on wikiHow.com. The application includes a Survival Kit which is a selection of articles that can help with unexpected emergencies. Some of the topics covered in this section include how to perform CPR, how to treat a burn and how to start a fire. These articles are stored in the application so they can be accessed even when an internet connection is not available.

  • JogDial ($2) lets one use their iPhone as a jog dial for a Mac computer. The application displays a dial on the screen and when connected to the JogDial desktop client users can spin this to control various functions. It can be used for tasks such as seeking to a specific point in a video or song, or a particular entry in a long list of transactions.

  • ATM Hunter (free) can help users locate ATMs located around the world. The application uses the built-in location services to determine the users current location and then directs them to the closest ATM. Users can also see which bank each ATM is associated with, if it is wheelchair accessible, and if it offers 24-hour access.

  • World Cup Ping Pong ($2) is a ping pong simulation for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game features a practice mode, a tournament mode, an arcade mode and a head-to-head mode. The practice mode lets players hone their skills while the tournament and arcade modes feature different styles of play. The game also includes a choice of two different background music tracks and three different paddles.
