InterMapper 5.1 ships
Google Earth integration and probe groups are the headlining features of Dartware's InterMapper 5.1 update. The new version allows users to export information to Google Earth via HTTP, then view network infrastructure on real-world maps. Latitude/longitude coordinates can be set in the program for precise location of devices. If latitude/longitude information is not available, devices can be mapped using benchmarks that provide more general positioning.
Probe groups allow a single icon to display multiple network probes targeting the same IP address. The software can be configured to poll group members or send group-specific notifications. Grid layouts have also been added, along with command-line import/export capabilities, an insert icon tool and a server-log preference pane.
