Palm and Sprint are poised to undercut Apple by launching the Pre a month or more earlier, as long as a leak of internal Sprint communications proves accurate. Latitude/longitude coordinates can be set in the program for precise location of devices. If latitude/longitude information is not available, devices can be mapped using benchmarks that provide more general positioning.
