AKVIS Retoucher 3.5
AKVIS is distributing a minor update to Retoucher, plug-in software designed for various photo-editing suites. The plug-in is specially geared towards restoring damaged photos, which can accumulate problems such as dust, fading, stains and scratches. Many of these can be fixed automatically by selecting the given faults within Retoucher.
The app can further be used to rebuild missing areas in a photo, and remove content such as logos, dates and pieces of scenery. When upscaling an image, the program generates matching textures in attempt to preserve object detail. The v3.5 update fixes several bugs, and boosts compatibility with Photoshop CS3 and CS4.
Retoucher costs $87, and can be installed for Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Photo-Paint, Paint Shop Pro and several other suites. The Mac edition requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
