Merlin for iPhone, update
ProjectWizards has announced a mobile version of its Merlin application for the iPhone/iPod touch, and the release of Merlin 2.7 beta. Merlin is a professional project-management application that provides tools to help users view, search, and store their projects, and lets users host a file on the network or internet to be shared with other Merlin users. The iPhone version gives people online access to Merlin projects via WLAN, EDGE and UMTS, and the ability to view all activities, resources and elements. Users can attach photos as file elements, or view their projects in a specialized Gantt chart.
Additional capabilities allow the program to display and update assignments, and to store and view Merlin projects while offline. Merlin 2.7 beta offers enhancements to increase the programs stability, overall performance, and simpler use. The updated beta version also adds performance improvements and support for both the Merlin iPhone, and for the company’s Merlin Server, that is expected to be available soon.
Merlin for the iPhone and iPod touch is a free application and downloadable from the App Store, while Merlin 2.7 beta is compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.9 or higher and is also a free download.
