Reference Tracker, Dialect

  • TranslateIt! 10.0 ($25) is a multilingual dictionary that allows users to quickly look up words. Users can hover the pointer over an unfamiliar word and TranslateIt! will look up that word and show its translation in a pop-up window. The software can also translate phrases from the clipboard or manually entered text. The 10.0 update has improved compatibility with Safari 4 and also added the ability to auto-collect looked up words to the Learning History. The update also includes several small bug fixes and enhancements. [Download - 21.6MB]

  • HoudahGeo 2.2 ($30) enables users to link photos to the location where they were taken, and supports writing that information to EXIF tags or publishing it to Google Earth. Users simply "pin" photos to their respective locations, and doesn't require a digital camera with built-in GPS capability or even a GPS device. Version 2.2 can write directly into the iPhoto '09 Places database and also features a reworked map geocoding interface. Other new features include a new Track library, Lightroom 2 folders access, offline bookmark geocoding and automatic altitude information. [Download - 4.6MB]

  • WebMerge 2.5 ($99) lets you export your data to HTML, generating static Web pages from database files. The Web publishing software works with nearly any database or spreadsheet data, while generated pages can be hosted on any Web server. The new version offers more options for creating and naming generated pages, and includes performance and interface enhancements for Mac OS X Leopard. Some of the new features include: tag options for truncating long text, improved generation of tables, a greater range of allowable characters in page names, and other minor enhancements. • Reference Tracker 1.2 ($45) produces documents with all of the citations and references associated with a project, which can then be used to generate bibliographies automatically based on different formats. Book information can be filled out automatically using ISBN numbers, and website information can be extracted from Safari or Firefox. Version 1.2 includes options for using parentheses citations and formated footnotes. The update also includes page number fields for app print-based reference types and improved formatting and punctuation in reference lists. [Download - 3.6MB]

  • Dialect 1.4 ($25) provides system-wide dialing of phone numbers to different devices and services such as Bluetooth mobile phones, landlines, several IP phones, many VoIP services, advanced telephony hardware such as Ovolab Phlink, Parliant PhoneValet, FRITZ!Box, and more. Version 1.4 has replaced the GrandCentral Dial method with the Google Voice Dial method and improved dialing with the FRITZ!Box Dial method. The update has also improved the Firefox extension to add automatic highlighting and hyperlinking of phone numbers when a page loads. [Download - 6.2MB]
