Samsung thin-bezel HDTVs

Samsung on Friday announced the launch of three new LCD display panels, the 46-inch 460UT, 460UTn and 460UTn-UD, all of which sport a bezel that is just 2.4mm (0.09-inch) thick on the right and top side of the display, and 4.3mm (0.17-inch) thick on the left and bottom sides. The commercial LCDs all deliver 1366x768 resolutions and as much as 700 nits of brightness. Their contrast ratios are rated at 3,000:1, while their response times are still fast at 8ms.

The 460UTn adds a built-in network PC with embedded Windows XP as well as Samsung's MagicInfo software for managing content over a network. This display will be available in April.

The 460UTn-UD has included programming to allow users to tie together as many as 250 displays running in real-time from a single PC and processing as many as 125 PC sources. Users can also zoom in and out of content or switch and drag images.

The displays features a host of PC and video connection options. Samsung has not announced pricing information for the displays, however.
