Mac Pros blocked from iTunes HD output over DVI?

Mac Pros and iTunes HD
Some Mac Pro owners may find themselves unable to properly view HD-quality video bought or rented from the iTunes Store, an account alleges. In the wake the iTunes 8.1 update, at least one user is said to have discovered that his Mac Pro will no longer play HDCP-encoded iTunes videos over DVI output, despite previously having support with a GeForce 7300GT video card attached to a Samsung T240 monitor. The issue is also said to be linked to a firmware update for the 7300GT, which may have disabled HDCP on the device without notice.
Apple is said to be aware of HDCP problems on Mac Pros, and currently in the process of developing an update to unblock content. In the meantime the only solution is to revert to iTunes 8.0.2, which may allow playback of HD TV shows, but not movies. The problems may be related to ones discovered with recent MacBooks, though MacBooks must connect to DVI devices through a Mini DisplayPort adapter.

Does Apple QA test?

Man considering they only have like 6 freaking models, you think they'd do more QA testing. Apple really needs to step it up.

... not to support movie downloads from iTunes, until they drop this silly HDCP thing. I mean people have already cracked the BlurRay, and these dumb assess are worried about the cable. It's so stupid.
You movie watching experience is entirely dependent on firmware updates and iTunes updates. That is retarded.

Of course not. Just look at some of their computer models over the last 5 years. "Liquid cooled G5s" leaking. PPC G5s power supplies dying. Plastic MacBook cases splintering. Capacitors exploding. h***, and just look at all the issues that keep showing up in OS X, esp. the finder (but, I know, even though we kept hearing it before, Snow Leopard is going to fix all those things! Too bad it won't work on my g5 tower).
