Digital Pro Golf for Mac
Digital Pro Golf has introduced swing analysis and recording software for the Mac. Designed to work with the company’s various digital camcorders, the program draws lines, circles, and shaded polygons over any video, and can export clips either to another computer or to a public folder where it can be viewed by a group. Compatible import formats include AVI, DV and MOV.
Playback modes support scrubbing and single-frame advance. The software additionally provides access to a teaching library of over 25 videos, and a model swing database of PGA tour players and other professionals, containing more than 30 clips. A side-by-side view lets people compare their swing next to a pro’s.
The software is a $30 solo download, while several recorder-and-software packages cost between $190 and $500.
